Set the HTML value of a DIV or other markup opener in Typescript | angular

Clearly, the NAME of the element is usernameOutput in this case, and data.username is the value I am setting.

I am putting "if (usernameField)" at the start to prevent timing bugs when the page renders. I don't know how to do an OnDOMReady type thing in Typescript yet. Please comment below if you can save me from wasting hours on this.

let usernameField: HTMLElement = <HTMLElement>document.getElementsByName('usernameOutput')[0];
if (usernameField) this.usernameField && data.usernameField.innerHTML(data.username);
